Welcome to the Society of Florida Archivists’ blog, the most recent in a list of available communication tools employed to keep our members engaged, interactive and focused on archives. Much like SFA, the blog is designed to be informative and interesting, with postings from archives and archivists around the state. We anticipate a range of blog posts – from new collections to new archivists, educational opportunities to regional meet-ups – that reflect the breadth and depth of all that SFA has to offer.
Now that you’ve had an opportunity to visit the blog, please don’t forget to bookmark it, Pin It, RSS feed it, or set it as your home page. But, please don’t just read the posts―comment on them and please consider writing a small piece or submitting a few photographs as a contribution. The blog editors welcome timely and relevant submissions that highlight Florida archives, Florida archival collections, and the research of Florida archivists. Remember, by posting to the blog, you’ll not only be sharing your experiences with colleagues around the state but with those outside of our member base who happen upon site. What a great way to contribute to SFA and to the greater archives field!
We hope you’ll enjoy our latest venture, and we hope that it encourages you to become even more involved with SFA than you may currently be. I look forward to reading your posts in the near future.
Tomaro Taylor, SFA President
