Have You Thought about Leadership in SFA?
via Michael Zaidman, Nominating Committee Chair
It’s time to think about who you want to lead the Society of Florida Archivists over the next year. Please take a few moments to consider nominating your colleagues in SFA – or maybe even yourself for office. As an added incentive, many institutions look on board participation as a professional activity which always looks good on your resume!
The nominations open for 2014 include: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Board Director.
- President (1-year appointment), is our chief executive officer and is responsible for the general supervision and control of society affairs and finances.
- Vice-President (1-year appointment), assists the President in the management of Society affairs and acts for the president in their absence and is a member on the Annual Meeting Committee.
- Treasurer (3-year appointment), serves as principal financial officer of the Society.
- one at-large Board Director (2-year appointment), who serves on the Executive Board and as a member of the Membership Committee.
For a complete description of each position, please visit the administrative manual found here.
Please check with your colleagues to make sure they are willing to run for office in SFA, then let us know your nominees by completing a 2014 SFA Nomination Form and e-mailing or mailing it to the following address by FEBRUARY 28, 2014:
